Terms & Conditions
By booking or using a Car to Go ABC vehicle and chauffeur service, the client agrees to the following terms.
1. Booking Information
The client is responsible for confirming that the pickup date, pickup time, locations, passenger count, luggage count, flight details, itinerary, contact information, and billing information are accurate.
The client is responsible for delays, additional service, or extra charges caused by incomplete or incorrect information.
2. Booking Requests and Confirmation
Submitting an inquiry or booking form is a request and does not guarantee availability. We normally respond within 24 hours.
A booking is confirmed only when Car to Go ABC confirms the vehicle, chauffeur, itinerary, and final price.
3. Advance Booking and Minimum Time
We recommend booking at least one day in advance. Same-day requests may be submitted, but availability is not guaranteed.
Hourly chauffeur service has a two-hour minimum. Airport transfers and fixed routes between Calgary, Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, and other destinations are quoted separately.
4. Deposit and Payment
A deposit equal to 50% of the total confirmed price is required to hold the vehicle and chauffeur. The remaining balance is due on the day of service.
Payment may be made by cash, money order, or credit card. For credit card payments, the cardholder may be asked to present the card and matching identification.
5. Pricing and Additional Charges
Unless expressly included in the confirmed quote, the base price does not include GST, chauffeur gratuity, airport-related charges, parking, waiting time, overtime, or costs resulting from itinerary changes.
Applicable additional charges will be added when incurred.
6. Waiting Time and Overtime
Car to Go ABC does not provide complimentary waiting time. Waiting time of up to 30 minutes is billed as 30 minutes. More than 30 minutes and up to one hour is billed as one hour. Waiting beyond one hour continues to be billed at the applicable time rate.
Waiting time begins at the confirmed pickup time. Client delays, event delays, extended service, additional stops, and itinerary changes may result in additional charges.
7. Airport Pickups and Flight Delays
Airport pickup is arranged using the pickup time and flight information supplied by the client. Accurate flight and contact information must be provided when booking.
We will make reasonable efforts to adjust the pickup arrangement when a flight is delayed. Any additional chauffeur waiting time is charged under the waiting-time policy.
8. Itinerary Changes
Requests to change a pickup time, add a stop, change a destination, or extend service are subject to chauffeur availability, the vehicle schedule, and later bookings.
Additional time, distance, stops, waiting, or other services may result in extra charges.
9. Cancellation, Refunds, and No-Shows
For cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service, 70% of the amount paid will be refunded.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service are non-refundable, and the full confirmed trip charge applies.
If the client does not appear at the confirmed time and location, the full confirmed trip charge applies.
10. Vehicle Damage
The client is responsible for damage caused by the client or any member of the client's party, including spills, burns, tears, damaged upholstery, and damage to onboard equipment.
The client is responsible for the reasonable cost of cleaning, repair, or replacement.
11. Cleaning Fee
A $500 cleaning fee applies when the client or a member of the client's party causes vomiting, a major spill, or another condition requiring professional deep cleaning.
If the actual cleaning or repair cost exceeds $500, Car to Go ABC may charge the additional reasonable cost.
12. Food, Smoking, and Vaping
Eating, smoking, and vaping are not permitted in Car to Go ABC vehicles. Cleaning or repair charges may apply if a violation causes odour, staining, contamination, or damage.
13. Illegal or Unsafe Conduct
The chauffeur may end service immediately if a passenger uses illegal drugs, fights, threatens or harasses another person, damages the vehicle, or behaves in an illegal, dangerous, or seriously inappropriate manner.
The chauffeur may return the passengers to the original pickup point or end service at another safe and lawful location. No refund is provided when service is ended because of passenger conduct.
14. Lost Property
Clients should check for personal belongings before leaving the vehicle. Car to Go ABC is not responsible for items left in a vehicle.
We will make reasonable efforts to return found property. Delivery, shipping, or special return costs are the client's responsibility.
15. Weather, Traffic, and Events Beyond Our Control
Car to Go ABC is not liable for delays, route changes, or inability to perform caused by severe weather, road closures, traffic conditions, accidents, mechanical or electrical problems, government or airport restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
When reasonably possible, we will attempt to arrange another vehicle, adjust the route, or offer another practical solution.
16. Substitute Vehicles
If the confirmed vehicle becomes unavailable because of a breakdown, weather, or another unexpected event, Car to Go ABC may provide a vehicle of the same or a higher class when reasonably possible.
A substitute vehicle may differ in make, model, colour, or features.
